Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera has, since June last year, a new president. José Gil Martínez, a native of our town, Alpera (Albacete), aged 47, is the new president of Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera. José Gil Martínez was elected in the Extraordinary General Assembly of Members that took place in Alpera last June.
José Gil Martínez has a long history and relationship with the winery, since in addition to being a member since 1999, he has been a member of the Governing Council since 2022. In addition, the new president of our winery also comes from an important family relationship with Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera, since his father, Jesús Gil Megías, was also part of the Governing Council of the winery.
José Gil Martínez, highlighted the honour ‘of being able to hold this position for the next four years, in which I will work to give my best and achieve the ambitious objectives we have on the table in our winery for the period between 2023 and 2027. One of them, and one for which we will continue to fight tirelessly: to continue to ensure that our bottling business continues to grow both nationally and internationally’.
We would also like to publicly thank the outgoing president, José Joaquín Fernández Navajas, for his dedication and the great work he has done over the last 4 years in which he has managed to keep Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera in a good and optimum position in the increasingly demanding market.
