The wines of Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera have once again achieved important recognition in one of the most important international wine competitions. Santa Cruz de Alpera PURE Garnacha Tintorera Maceración Carbónica 2023 has been awarded a gold medal in the red wine category of the 2024 edition of the Brussels World Wine Competition.

This is the second medal we have won at the Concours Mondial du Vin de Bruxelles, after Santa Cruz de Alpera PURE Rosé Syrah 2023 was awarded a silver medal a couple of months ago.

In 2023, three of our wines were also awarded two gold medals (Gold Rupestre and Cueva del Chamán Blanco Verdejo) and a grand gold for Cueva del Chamán Rosado Syrah. In this edition of the competition held in 2024, the jury (made up of expert journalists, winemakers, importers from all over the world) tasted wines from more than 40 different countries to evaluate the final decision in Guanajuato (Mexico), where the group of experts gathered.

Jorge Morales, commercial director of Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera, ‘this award is a work of constancy and regularity, an award that values the quality of the work we are carrying out with the winery’s bottlings and especially now also with the PURE brand, which achieves this great international recognition in this Brussels Competition and which is added to the silver medal obtained by the PURE Rosé in the 2024 edition’.
