The wines of Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera were the stars of the gala dinner organised on 3 June in Albacete for the II Jornadas de DO Almansa, winning four important awards.
Four of our wines were chosen to represent DO Almansa in the promotional activities to be carried out in 2024, selected in a blind tasting of wines from DO wineries, in a tasting that took place last May in Taberna Ramona (Almansa, Albacete). Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera obtained four of the six awards for DO Almansa wines. The award-winning wines that were distinguished are:
- Best white wine: 𝐂𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐚́𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜 𝟐𝟎𝟑.
- Mejor vino blanco: 𝐂𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐚́𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜 𝟐𝟎𝟑.
- Best Monastrell red wine aged more than 6 months in barrel: 𝐂𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐚́𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟐𝟐𝟐.
- Best Garnacha Tintorera with more than 6 months of barrel ageing: 𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐.
Our president, José Gil, together with members of the Board of Directors of Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera, were in charge of collecting the awards from the president of DO Almansa, Adolfo Cano, during the gala dinner held at the Casino Primitivo in Albacete.
We present our wines in the showroom at the conference
During the whole day that the DO Almansa conference took place, the Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera team was present in all the activities that were carried out from the morning at Casa Perona. First of all, our field technician, Raúl Sánchez García, attended the informative sessions with four speakers from the wine sector. He was also present at the showcooking, also at Casa Perona, by the chef Antonio González, from the restaurant + IDEAS in Higueruela.
In the afternoon, the team of professionals from Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera presented our wines in the showroom of wineries that was organised with the rest of the DO Almansa wineries, where we were able to present the characteristics of the best selection of our wines to a professional and general public.
