The wines of Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera have once again achieved a historic result at the Mundus Vini awards, one of the international wine sector’s benchmark competitions. On this occasion, the award-winning wines have received two gold medals and a silver medal: Gold Rupestre Garnacha Tintorera 2021 and Santa Cruz de Alpera Pure Roble Monastrell 2022, both with gold medal and Santa Cruz de Alpera Pure Rosado Syrah with silver medal.
These awards reinforce the great work being done by the team of professionals at our winery, which continues the winning trend of recent years, where three of our wines won three gold medals in last year’s edition: Cueva del Chamán Blanco Verdejo 2021, Cueva del Chamán Roble Monastrell 2022 and Rupestre de Alpera Reserva 2018. In previous editions, awards such as the silver medal that Cueva del Chamán Roble Monastrell obtained in 2020 or the Gold medal obtained by our Gold Rupestre 2017 stand out. In 2021, Rupestre de Alpera Esencia was also awarded a silver medal.
Gold Rupestre wins another gold medal
Particularly noteworthy this year are the prizes awarded to three different types of wine made from different grapes: Garnacha Tintorera, Monastrell and Syrah. In addition, our Gold Rupestre, the most emblematic wine of our winery, once again won a gold medal after having received it four years ago. Furthermore, the range of our rosé wines, this time represented by Santa Cruz de Alpera Pure, continues the line of international recognitions for our rosés, after last year Cueva del Chamán Rosado managed to place among the best rosé wines in the world with a Great Gold medal at the International Wine Competition in Brussels.
Jorge Morales, commercial director of Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera, has highlighted ‘the international consolidation in which our winery continues on its path, continuing the line of awards and recognitions at a global level that have contributed not only to the fact that 2023 has been a magnificent year in terms of sales, but also to the fact that the sales figure forecast for 2024 can also be improved’. In this sense, Morales also highlighted the presence of our wines at the Prowein fair, where our winery will once again have its own stand in Düsseldorf (Germany), from 10 to 12 March at stand J45 in hall 11.
