Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera has inaugurated the modernisation of part of its facilities, which have had the important support of the Vinati funds for the execution of the project. The result of this modernisation project of the winery has been a new bottling machine, different improvements in the winemaking hall, in destemmers, tanks and also with the implementation of new solar panels aimed at improving the energy efficiency of the winery.
The inauguration of this Vinati project, which took place on Friday 20 October, was attended by the Castilla-La Mancha Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, Julián Martínez Lizán, who praised ‘the great work being done at the winery, which is an extremely important bastion for the locality and which Castilla-La Mancha is supporting with aid such as the Vinati funds, It is an extremely important bastion for the locality and we at Castilla-La Mancha are supporting it with aid such as the Vinati funds, with which we are investing in the improvement of infrastructures and the conditions for the production of wines that we can enjoy to the full and which are the ones that make us world famous’.
In this case, the overall investment for this project that we have completed in the winery, aimed at optimising the production process, improving the existing treatment plant and installing photovoltaic panels, has been a total of 578,000 euros, of which the Regional Ministry has given aid amounting to 229,000 euros, which comes to 40% of the total investment of the same. Castilla-La Mancha also points out that our winery, which has invested more than 2 million euros in recent years in innovation and modernisation of our facilities, has received support of close to 900,000 euros from the Government of Castilla-La Mancha.
Raúl Sánchez, technician at Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera, has valued the result of these modernisation works as ‘a fundamental step for the future of the winery, which fortunately has received very important help from Castilla-La Mancha. We know that having the support of public institutions is essential, and they have always supported our winery by investing in facilities with the aim of continuing to advance and improve the quality of our bottled wines, which are now sold all over the world’.
In addition to the visit of the regional councillor and the staff of Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera, headed by the president José Gil Martínez, the mayoress of Alpera, Isabel Belén Iniesta Egido, was also present, together with Ramón Sáez, delegate of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development in the province of Albacete.
