Our vineyard is located at an altitude between 900 – 1100 meters. The soils are shallow, calcareous with just a few organic matter; they also have a sandy texture and a limescale which is very suitable to grow quality wines by low yields.
The spring frosts force to perform a late pruning in the area.
The average annual rainfall ranges from 250-300 mm, concentrating these in the seasons of autumn, winter and spring.
The climate is very harsh. It is dry continental with very cold winters and hot summers during the day and cool at night. This contrast in temperature between day and night in the month of August makes our Garnacha Tintorera tannins and color to concentrate in the final stages of the maturation. Those conditions prolong the ripening process.
