The winemaker of the Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera, Diego López, has been working in the vintage of an important and well known winery in the south of Australia for two months (February and March). He was in Angove Family Winemakers, one recognized winery that produces many and different products: wines, brandies and other products like ginger wine, a British product, and gin.
Diego Lopez traveled to Australia in the end of January with one target: “to improve the technical knowledge” and to know all the details about types of elaboration that the countries of “new world” have. For him it was a huge professional and personal challenge because he could capture new ideas to keep innovating, improving and perfecting Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera’s wines.
Angove Family Winemakers is a cellar with more than 130 years. It was founded in 1886 and is present in a lot of markets around the world. This historical company makes wine in three different and important zones of south Australia and close to Adelaida: Mclaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Riverland.
